Hotel & Office Building Design
Advance Engineering Group has substantial experience
in the design of hotels in pre-stressed concrete, wood
framing, standard steel and even in light gauge steel.
The most representative example of our capabilities
is what is called “site adapt” for Marriott’s
Fairfield Inns. Call us also for design of condominiums
and office buildings!

Light Gauge Steel Design
It is standard practice both in Government and Private
sectors to leave the light gauge steel design out of
the scope of the Architectural/Engineering consultants;
consequently the Light Gauge Steel Sub-contractor sets
out to find a structural engineering company to produce
the design of light gauge steel, disguised as “shop
drawings”, when they are actually design drawings.
The General Contractor usually leaves that choice entirely
to the Subs.

| Tower Design
AEG has experience analyzing the structural design
of towers for many different applications, such telecommunications
and cooling support. We are currently keeping pace with
the high demand of the cell phone industry, reviewing
effects of wind forces on new antennas and cables on
existing towers.

Tenant Build-Out
The design and construction of a commercial retail
and office building space is typically done in two
phases: Phase I is the shell building and Phase II (tenant
fit-out) is carried out by the tenants or
buyer’s architects, engineers and contractors.
However, the 2nd phase is considered equally as
important. The scope of the consultant work is mostly
mechanical, electrical and plumbing
engineering. AEG has been doing this type work for more
than 10 years.

| Structural Steel Detailing
Fabrication drawings are a very important issue in
structural engineering, as they are the second step
in the design of the structure. Shop drawings have to
comply with the owner’s architect and engineer’s
requirements, plus the fabricators standards. The detailers
(or engineers) must have thorough knowledge in the design
of bolted and welded connections. In addition to sharing
the liability in structural design, the detailing company
is responsible for making pieces to fit in the field.

| Site Plans and Special Permits
The term “site plans” is used for grading,
erosion control and landscaping plans strictly for commercial
developments, which AEG has been increasingly involved
in during recent years. Site plans require more engineering
skill than residential lot infill grading plans. Our
experience in geometric road design is useful in the
design of parking lots and street access. Experience
in the design of public utilities is also essential
in developing site plans.
